Sheeesh! After all these tournaments, you'd think I would know better - but we are supporting the schools when buying from concession....and we always bring subs....so needless to say I have now gained 3 pounds from my previous starting point. Now I am working on losing 22 lbs. UGH! But no worries. I am hitting the trail today. And the gym this weekend.
Here is another great protein shake recipe I found for those who enjoy them. Keep the comments coming, and please share a recipe of the protein shakes you mix up... I will post them here for others to enjoy as well!

Just a beautiful way to start your day.....or end your evening! I love to watch this video at night, it is very relaxing. Make sure you watch the whole clip, as the beginning is a bit slow...in black and white. But when it gets to the full color you will be in awe of the beauty it holds. The color spectrum within this tank is magnificent! Hope you enjoy it- send it to a friend you know who likes fish!
Day 3 - waiting for the frogspawn to fully open. Giving him about a week before seeing if I need to adjust his position in the tank. Heading up to Ocala today to pick up my Lawnmower Blenney (named for his algae eating skills) and my Hammer coral. Will take photos while at the shop this time, so I don't have to wait to post them while acclimating the corals.
To all followers of my blog~ Thank You. You are helping me to reach my goal of 500 following friends by the end of 2010- much appreciated!
Have a great morning, be back in a bit!

Well, since I left on a bad note regarding the STUPID person who had the thought of stealing fish....
thought I would share with you a few pics I took today:
We went to the Florida Aquarium (Tampa), and also did the Behind the Scenes Tour-
our tour guy was "Ray"- very nice. We got to see how everything worked which was cool to a fish lover like myself. We saw the holding tanks, the rehab area for the sick or injured animals, the tubes for the water changes.... did you know they actually have their saltwater brought into the bay on a ship? While the ship is out to sea, it fills its' baffles with sea water, which is then pumped into the aquariums' pipeline, which is then filtered to a pristine clean! Very cool.
We also got to speak with the biologist- and got to view the main tank during feeding time. (also we were in the kitchen while they were preparing the food- cool again!)
The info the biologist shared was very informative- and I enjoyed speaking with him.
DID YOU KNOW?
The Florida Green Sea Turtle: starts out as a baby turtle, a meat eater (carnivore), grows into mid-adulthood, becoming an omnivore (meat eater/plant eater), then when it reaches mature adulthood, it is strictly an herbivore (plant eater). The green sea turtle is the only one they know of that does this we were told....
AND the insides of the green sea turtle...ARE GREEN!!! Now come on, that is COOL!
Because of the amount of chlorophyll the turtle takes in from the plants, his insides are GREEN, organs, tissue, everything!
Here are a few pics.....
We also stopped by Rockin' Reef in Tampa.....
picked up a few things and a frogspawn coral:
This was taken just after I placed it in the tank,
so it is not fully open yet.
Will post another when it is open.
Have a good evening everyone!

Are you kidding me??!!??!!
Have you ever in your life heard of someone STEALING marine life?
How incredibly PATHETIC your life must be that you resort to stealing
from a fish store?
I REALLY LOVE my mixed reef tank, and I appreciate the people who work
in the shops that I frequent, which is why I drive all the way to Gainesville for one of my favorite shops
- and to have someone do something like this...
huh, well let's just say I hope he is caught and thrown in jail- to rot.
Here is a pic of my tank...a work in progress...
Here is the story I came across......go to: http://www.neptuneaquatics.com/
You can also pull it up on http://www.youtube.com/

(I came across this news from one of my fav fish forums : http://www.reefbuilders.com/
Once again....pathetic. A real man would have paid for his purchases with honest money earned from honest work...not a worthless, spineless thief like this..... Let me know your thoughts on this- does not matter if you are a fish lover or not.

One of my MOST FAVORITE-est dishes in the whole world, is .....
Linguine with white clam sauce. I LOVE it!!
It has to be done right, not too thick, and not too thin- I can't stand a watery sauce.
And, I (don't laugh) don't like clams. I just like the taste of the finished product. Hubby usually has my clams-
as a local restaurant separates them for me right before serving the dishes. I just like the essence of the clam juice, mmmm !
Anyway- I came across this video and thought I would share it with you. You can find the recipe at:

Protein Shake Recipe#1:
Have you gone shopping yet for the New Year?
Be sure to have plenty of healthy choices on hand.
Here's a little help in getting started, to make a
healthy & satisfying shake- just add the following:
Banana Protein Shake
• 8 oz. pure water
• 1/2 banana (frozen)
• 2 oz. protein of choice
• 2 tsp. flax seed oil
(I like to add a spoon of peanut butter also!)
(you could use any flavor protein mix, although I have found
that vanilla or CHOCOLATE{tastes like a peanutbutter cup} works BEST!)

Chamomile ~ Oatmeal Tub Tea Sachets
These are individual tea bags sealed to hold in the freshness of chamomile, oatmeal, and some special TLC.
Oatmeal is very good for your skin. It fights dryness, moisturizes, calms irritation, soothes redness, and cleanses your pores.
Chamomile is a natural skin rejuvenator. Known as an analgesic, chamomile is also used as an anti-inflammatory, relieves pain, and helps to promote skin repair when needed.
In this listing are (4) individual bath bags. 2.5" x 2.5"ea.
You can simply toss these little guys into your tub of warm water, and enjoy as is.
OR...you can USE them as a washcloth - which is more fun to have the kids play and see how oatmeal is actually GOOD for them. The bags will suds up into a nice lather for cleansing, and when done- simply toss.
